Am I responsible for this vehicle?
If you received a lien notice, Oregon law requires us to notify the last registered owner and any lienholders on record. Receiving a notice does not automatically mean you owe money — it means we are required to inform you that the vehicle was towed.
If you sold the vehicle before it was towed, you may be able to dispute your responsibility by providing documentation of the sale. Oregon law requires sellers to notify the DMV within 10 days of a private vehicle sale.
If you are the registered owner and the vehicle was towed from your property or at your request, you are responsible for towing and storage fees.
Dispute a lien notice charge
If you believe you are not responsible for this vehicle, complete the form below. Our team will review your submission.
Insurance or Third-Party Vehicle Release
Use this form when an insurance company or vehicle owner needs to request release of a vehicle. Submitting a request does not confirm release — dispatch will review the details.

Still have questions? Email us →Towing and storage fees
Towing fees are set at the time of the tow and are based on the type of vehicle, distance, and equipment required. Storage fees accrue daily from the date of tow until the vehicle is released or sold.
Oregon law limits the fees a towing company may charge for non-consent tows. If you believe you were overcharged, you may file a complaint with the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Releasing your vehicle
To release your vehicle, you must present valid photo ID, proof of ownership (title or registration), and payment of all outstanding fees. Call ahead to confirm your vehicle's location and the total amount due before visiting.
If your vehicle is being released to an insurance company or a third party, use the Insurance Release form on this page. Dispatch will review the request and contact you to confirm pickup arrangements.
Auto auction and lien sales
Vehicles not claimed within the statutory period may be sold at public auction. Lien sale notices are sent to all registered owners and lienholders as required by Oregon law. The auction date is included in your notice.
You may attend the auction and bid on your own vehicle. If the sale proceeds exceed the outstanding fees, the surplus is held for the registered owner for a period specified by Oregon law.
Insurance and total-loss vehicles
If your vehicle has been declared a total loss by your insurance company, the insurer will typically handle the release and title transfer. Provide your claim number and adjuster contact information using the Insurance Release form on this page.
Storage fees continue to accrue until the vehicle is released, even during insurance negotiations. Contact your adjuster promptly to minimize storage charges.
